Ballina RFC off to a winning start in 2010
The senior 1st XV travelled to Galway today to play Galweigians in the 1st round propper of the Connacht Junior Cup.
They came away the victors 16 -15 in a close encounter. David Newman scoring the all important intercept try with just 8 minutes remaining. Stephen McCarron scored the games only other try. Andrew Moynihan kicked two penalties. All Galwegians points came from the boot of Eamon Molloy.
The Senior 2nd XV kept their league ambitions alive with the 2 point win away to Westport. Final score 13-15.
